Language makes you feel whole, you know you are an aboriginal person but it’s like a missing jigsaw link that you want to put together.|I think because a lot of kids are feeling very self conscious of who they are in this day and age, speaking another language is very important to them, especially as aboriginal people. [It is important for them] to be able to say I am an Aboriginal person and I am proud of who I am and I can speak my language.|There are so many other cultures that are speaking language within our diverse population, so why not speak the first people’s language.
